Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Cost Controller
Department: Project Control Office
Location: ITC Riyadh
Reporting to: Project Manager
Job Summary
To administer quantities and material management with a strong record of project risk evaluation, contractor dispute resolution, cost variation analysis, bid negotiation and tendering. To manage a team of Quantity Surveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible to control, monitor and forecast total project cost (Actual Cost compared to Scheduled Cost) including verifying and inspecting invoices.
Responsible to verify and inspect all invoices pertinent to claims matters, per the cost breakdown submitted by the Main Contractor, suppliers, vendors and subcontractors
To ensure that all project expenditures are captured accurately and recorded to verify that monetary claims by the main contractor are substantiated.
Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress, and preparation of client billing process.
Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring for cost assigning to the P6 rel 8.3digital file and after any cost update and be able to determine the prop r Lag and Resource’s duration, included in the task duration, as per the activity Level of Detail determined for the workprogramme.
Assist the Contracts Manager in technical and commercial review of expected tenders (subcontractor’s quotations) to prepare Service agreements in case of MOI give instruction for doing the same.
Ensure effective project implementation with the use of the project management system and apply the Ital Standard reports to establish the WBS to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery, in accordance with the Time Schedule Level of Detail, till the closure of the project.
Prepare the Cost Control portion of the monthly project report for monitoring activities on a weekly basis and register all analyses and Contractor’s corrective actions.
Coordinate and work with the PMC team to resolve project issues and ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
Attend and participate in project meetings and discussions with the PMC team and external clients if needed (End Users).
Undertake any other ad-hoc related duties as reasonably required.
Participates in the “what if” evaluations.
Analyses BOQ so as to understand Contractor’s cash flow and profitability by components and stags and hence motivation.
Job requirements
An engineer holding a university degree in civil or architectural engineering field.
Project management specialization with experience of not less than (10) years in construction management field.
Practicing work in locations and supervision on execution of similar projects.
Very fluent in reading, writing and speaking the Arabic and English languages (mandatory).
